Obituary for Lola Mae Bagwell (Bates)
Lola Mae Bagwell, 78, of Easley, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.
She is survived by her children; Mickey (Norma) Bagwell, Michael (Tanya) Bagwell, Bobby (Cindy) Bagwell, Ann Sutherland, and Kay (Sammy) Gilstrap; and her siblings, James (Alicia) Bates, and Nancy (Gary) Jones; her 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sarah Bates.
As the matriarch, Lola brought the family together at all times. She retired from Mayfair Mills - Glenwood Division in Easley after 30 years.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Arial United Methodist Church in Easley, with the funeral service following at 12:30 pm. The Rev. Roger Gwinn will be officiating.
Interment will be at Pickens View Wesleyan Church.
The family will be at the home of Bobby Bagwell; 1255 Cedar Rock Church Road in Easley.
Memorials may be made to the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. Flowers may be delivered to Arial United Methodist Church or to the home of Bobby Bagwell.
