Obituary for Dovie Gladys Bagwell (Edens)
Dovie Gladys Edens Bagwell, 92, wife of the late John W. Bagwell, died on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at her home.
Born on October 30, 1922 in Pickens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Myrtle Rose Whitmire Edens. Mrs. Bagwell retired from J.P. Stevens, Clemson plant, after 31 years of service.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Sharon Bagwell, of Easley; two grandsons, Cameron Bagwell of Easley and Todd (Chris) Hunnicutt of North Augusta, SC; a brother, Rev. Dwight (Yvonne) Edens of Marietta, SC; a sister, Pearl Winchester of Salem, SC; a sister, Essie Dodson of Panama City Beach, FL; one great-granddaughter, Laura Hunnicutt; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation and funeral service will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church, 3450 Table Rock Road, Pickens, SC on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Bo Mackey and Rev. Dwight Edens, and Rev. Benny Bagwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence of Carl Bagwell, 415 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC.
