Obituary for Mary Velma Hodgden (Stansell)
Mary V. Hodgden, 85, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
She is survived by her son, John R. (Gail) Hodgden of Simpsonville; her sisters, Ruth Watkins of Easley, Dorothy Russell of Piedmont, Martha (James) Murphy of Blythewood, Pat Durham of Simpsonville, and Shirley (Floyd) Donnald of Honea Path; her two grandsons, John and Adam Hodgden; and her three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mattie Stansell; and her sister, Lila Welch of Greenville.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at The Palmetto Mortuary, with the funeral service following at 12:00 pm.
Interment will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northgate Baptist Church.
