Sarah Belle Brown Spillers, 87, of Simpsonville, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2016.

She was a lifelong member of Clear Spring Baptist Church. She was born June 5, 1928 to the late Wilburn and Eugenia Carman Brown. She was married on February 24, 1946 to Homer Andrew Spillers, and they were married for 44 years.

Sarah worked for Simpsonville Mill until its closing, and then worked at House of Fabrics until her retirement.

Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Andrew Spillers; sister, Margaret Brown; brother, James Brown; and daughter-in-law, Marilyn L. Spillers.

She is survived by her children, Allen Spillers, Susan (Stan) Carr, four grandchildren, Angie (Jason) Robinson; Andrew (Heather) Spillers; Shawn (Patricia) Carr; and Stanley James Carr II; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Clear Spring Baptist Church in Simpsonville at 2:00 pm. The family will received friends immediately after the service.

Private burial will be in the Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
