Melony Dawn  Bridges
Melony Dawn Purvis Bridges, 47, of Belton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 after an extended illness.

She was at home with her husband of 7 years at her side under the care of Providence Hospice.

She was a faithful member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church of Belton, SC. She was a forklift driver for 5 years at Nutra Manufacturing.

The outdoors and nature were her favorite places to be. She enjoyed camping near the Blue Ridge Parkway every year with her husband for their anniversary.

She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her father, Brooks Purvis, and three uncles.

Survivors are Timmy Bridges, better known as "the love of my life" for 14 years; mother, Rebecca Burkhalter of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Collie Brooks Purvis of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers-in-law, Paul and Rochelle Bridges of Florida; Jimmy and Shana Bridges of SC; her mother and father-in-law, Freda and Jim Verner of SC; Joe and Azzie Bridges of SC; five nieces, a nephew, and a host of cousins.

The memorial service will be held at Blue Ridge Baptist Church, 1340 Blue Ridge Ave, Belton, SC on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Richard Busha officiating.
