Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Thelma Batson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thelma Hall Batson, 89, of Greenville, went to her new home with Jesus on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late J. Lee and Clara Hamby Hall.
She was emplolyed at Hampton Park Christian School for 27 years and Wal-Mart for 14. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcie Batson Dean; her son, Danny K. Batson; her grandchildren, Jeanine (John) Stancell, Joey Buchanan; her great-grandchildren, Rylie and Carter Buchanan, and Steven and Caitlyn Stancell; her sister, Azalee Hall; and her precious friend, Travis Burns.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Batson; and seven brothers and sisters.

The memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Clearview Baptist Church, with the memorial service following at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Open Arms Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
