Wilbur Meyers  Court
Wilbur (“Bill”) Meyers Court, 93, passed away in his home in Mauldin, SC on June 16, 2016. He was born on a farm outside Belvidere, IL on April 1, 1923, the son of the late Martyn R. and Dorothy H. Court.

Mr. Court was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired as a project engineer from Rexham Corp. where he worked in Rockford, IL and Sarasota, FL for more than 41 years and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sarasota. After his retirement in 1988, he pursued his passions for woodworking and fishing. He was a superb mechanic who could fix any motor or machine. Mr. Court was a loving father and grandfather to five children, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Court was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy A. (Hermanson) Court.

He is survived by his three daughters, Diane Peterson of Yuba City, CA, Barbara (Don) Pierce of Mauldin, SC, and Judy (Don) Lutter of Cary, NC, and two sons, Robert (Cecilia) Court and Steven (Gloria) Court, both of Houston, TX. Mr. Court is also survived by a sister, Ramona Court, of San Diego, CA, and a brother, Cal Court, of Rockford, IL, and preceded in death by one brother, Wendell Court.
