Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Audrey Chapman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Audrey Elizabeth Chapman

Audrey Elizabeth Chapman, 49, went to be with the Lord on July, 10, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Debra Dianne Vaughn Van Natta and Dennis Lamar Chapman. She is survived by her fiancé, Bruce Cooper and children she cared for and loved in the home, Camdyn Cooper and Uriah Cooper. Also leaving behind Bruce’s adult children, Nicole Day (Scott), Devin Cooper and Justin Cooper. She is also survived by her stepfather, Guy C. Van Natta, Sr. and her siblings, Dennis Lamar Chapman, Jr. (Lenay), Katherine V. Kreft (Jon), Guy C. Van Natta, Jr., Maryiah C. McGill (Sonny), Dixie K. Chapman, David Adams (Michelle), Les Adams, Sherri A. Kimbrall, Brenda Chapman and several aunts and uncles. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Timothy L. Chapman, a sister, Debby V. White, and nephews, Jeremy K. White, Sonny Joe, and Christopher.

Audrey was a great cook and lovingly prepared meals for her family and coworkers. She loved animals, especially horses. She was a gentle and caring person and will be greatly missed by many.

There will be visitation for family at the home of Dennis Chapman on Friday, July 15th, 2016 after 3pm. A Memorial service is planned for 2pm on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church, 403 Sulphur Springs Rd, Greenville, SC 29617. Visitation will start at 1pm at Bethel Baptist before the service.
