He worked as an electrician and in electrical sales for 35 years. After retirement, he worked for several years as a security guard.

Michael was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church since his childhood.

During his life, he enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Clemson football fan.

Above all else, Michael loved and cherished his family. He took great pride in being a dad and granddad.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, he is survived by his children, Michael (Monica) Medlin, Jr., JR Black, and Kelly Fulbright, all of Greenville; his brother, Darryl (Judy) Medlin of Easley; his ten grandchildren, Caroline Medlin, Bret Parker, Cortney DeNoux, Michael Vickers, Jordon Black, Tyler Fulbright, Autumn Fulbright, Chantz Black, Logan Black, and Cody Black; his three great-grandchildren; and many lifelong friends and much loved extended family.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Monaghan Baptist Church on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 7:00 pm, with family receiving friends after the service.

Michael's family are so grateful for the care and support during the months of his illness from the staff with Homestead Hospice.
