Leland Dwayne  Wade
Leland Dwayne Wade, 70, of Liberty, lost his battle to Alzheimer's on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home.

Leland was born in Cornelia, GA on February 22, 1946 to the late Lee B. and Vera B. Wade.
He proudly served his county in the US Navy during the time of the Vietnam War, where he served two tours of duty.

He also served his community by joining the Greenville City Police Department, protecting and serving until his retirement after 28 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Annette Wade; his daughter, Stephanie Wade Redondo, and son-in-law, Robert Redondo; his grandsons, Ethan and Gabriel Redondo; his sister-in-law, Brenda Wade; his niece, Wendy Wade Garrett; and his great-nephew, Conor Teeling.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Wade; and his nephew, Daniel Wade.

A memorial service will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery, 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC 29601.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home, who cared for him during his illness; to the Patriot Hospice "Angels", who helped the family during the transition of Leland Dwayne Wade to his Heavenly Home.
