John W. Wilson, Jr. 90, of Greenville S.C. went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2017. He was predeceased by wife Jean Piccolo Wilson in 2010. They enjoyed a very happy marriage for over 57 years. Survived by children Susan Holt (Doug, Wilson NC), Ron Wilson (Andrea, Summerville SC), Andy Wilson (Sherri, Simpsonville, SC) and seven beautiful grandchildren. Additionally, John is survived by two brothers, Joe and Bobby, both of Greenville.

John and Jean were devoted Southern Baptists. They both taught Sunday School with John also serving as an RA leader and deacon. They met while attending Furman University (John graduated in 1952). They were members of the Paladin and Heritage Clubs. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Laurel Baptist Church, 2331 Laurens Road, Greenville or charity of one’s choice. Service will be held at Laurel Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 25 at 2pm with visitation starting at 1pm.
