Obituary for Jeanne Derrick Morris

Jeanne Derrick Morris, of Mauldin, went to be with the Lord on, Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
 
She is survived by her loving children, Rick (Malinda) Morris, Robert (Frances) Morris, and Ellison (William) Cromer; her brother, Buddy Derrick; adoring grandchildren, Shannon Morris, Jeannie (Ron) Putnam, Mallory (Mat) Pellegrino, and Derrick (Anna Catherine) Morris.  She was also blessed with her first great grandchild, Eddie Pellegrino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris; son, James Morris III, her sister Betsy Calvo; and her parents, Homer and Mabel Derrick.

Jeanne managed the Mauldin Library and passed her love of reading down to her granddaughter Mallory.  She also was the first female president of the Lions Club in Mauldin. She enjoyed volunteering at the Peace Center, enjoyed the beach, particularly, at Isle of Palms, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially their breakfast dates.

The visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Disciples United Methodist Church, 185 Riley Smith Road, Greenville, on Friday, October 13, 2017 with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
