Obituary for Philip Swede

Philip  Swede
Philip Swede, 53, of Easley, passed away on September 28, 2017.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Trombly Swede; his sister, Roxena Quinlan (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Thelma Swede.
Phil was born and raised in Niskayuna, NY. He attended Utica College and earned his BA from USC-Upstate in Spartanburg, SC. He most recently served with the SC Department of Revenue. He also worked as a real estate agent and at Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs. He was a New York Giants fan and loved square dancing with his wife, Sharon. Phil was a member of the Clifton Park (NY) Elks and the Greenville Woodworkers Guild. He was also a pre-GED tutor with Greenville Literacy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Palmetto Mortuary on Monday October 30 at 3 PM, with visitation to follow. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Niskayuna, New York in the spring, the date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at the Greenville Literacy Association and Open Arms Hospice.
