Scott Helwagen, 47, a lifelong resident of Murrells Inlet, passed away on October 15, 2017. He could typically be located at the water. He was an avid fisherman. He loved all aspects of fishing whether it be in the creek or off shore, Scott was on the water. If Sunday fishing was not available, Scott enjoyed followiing Nascar.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Helwagen (Kathy) and his loving niece, Virginia Helwagen.

He was preceded in death by his adoring parents, James and Donna Helwagen and his brother, Brian Helwagen.
