Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Doris Gibbs can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Doris Jeanette Bennett Gibbs, 84, of Fountain Inn, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.

She is survived by her children: Judy Morgan Shaw, Melton Gary Horne (Kelli), Constance Lambright (Michael), Johnny Randall Horne (Brenda), her sister Evelyn Watson (Hubert), her grandchildren; William David Shaw Junior, Melton Gary Horne Junior, Karalyn Rae Arnold (Travis), Bradley King Jr., Judy Lynn Prince (Tracy), Brett Bliss Horne, and Jordan Rayne Horne, her great-grandchildren; Kadence Grace Arnold and Mia Taylor Arnold, many nieces and nephews, and her loving dog, Baby.

Doris was a follower of the Lord and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a resident of Quillen Manor Villa where she had many friends who she loved like family and where she also enjoyed her outings every Tuesday with the ladies. She will be remembered for her love of her family, and she especially loved her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years Clifford Gibbs, her siblings; Herbert Bennett, Cecil Bennett, Dorothy O'Neal, Esten Bennett and Jimmy Bennett, and her parents, Floyd Cicero Bennett and LaVerne Jenkins.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: McCall's Hospice House.
