Linwood R. McDowell, 71, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

He is survived by his wife Beverly McDowell, his son Brian McDowell, his daughters Julie McDowell and Sherri Gentry, his siblings Joanne Smith and Marie Shepard, his grandchildren; Brooke Morgan, Wesley McDowell, Tristah McDowell, Kinsley McDowell, Kaylin McDowell, Dalton McDowell, Anniston McDowell, Skyler Gentry, Chelsea McJunkin and his great granddaughter Emma McJunkin.

Linwood's true passion in life was his dedication to being a die hard Clemson fan.

He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Linwood McDowell, his siblings; Russell John McDowell, Judy Lane and Paul McDowell and his parents Charlie Ray and Eloise Davis McDowell.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
