Wheeler Acey Hatcher, Sr. passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and his best friends of 68 years Mr. & Mrs. Bill Davis. Mr. Hatcher retired from General Electric Company with 34 years of dedicated service and was an avid Gamecock fan. Born June 4, 1940, Acey is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Bagwell Hatcher. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 5 children April Hatcher Johnson (Wayne), Allison Hatcher Whelchel (Joe), Wheeler Acey “Bubba” Hatcher, Jr. (Lynn), Chad Lee Hatcher (Shay) and Chase Eric Hatcher (Kaylan), 19 Grandchildren and 1 great Grandchild due in November 2018.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Enon Baptist Church, 871 Enon Church Road, Easley, SC 29640. Receiving Friends will begin at 1 PM with the memorial service beginning at 2:30 pm.
