Obituary for JoAnn Wood (Hendrix)
JoAnn Wood, 67, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Wood Smith and Gina Ann Garrison; her grandchildren, Aaron M. Smith and Olen P. Garrison; her ex-husband, Bobby J. Wood and her long time companion of 40 years, Paul W. Shelton. Melinda Waters who was like a sister to her.
JoAnn enjoyed spending her time sewing and making jewelry and will be remembered by her family for being a peace maker. She was a devoted follower of the Lord and served as a member at Park Place Church of God for years. She wants her family to serve God and to meet her in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie Hendrix and Leonard Hendrix.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7th, 2019 at Park Place Church of God at 221 Orders St, Greenville, SC 29609 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Graceland West.
