Eleanor Czechowski DeBlaay, 100, of Greenville, widow of Henry J. DeBlaay, died December 18, 2016, at her home with her loving daughter by her side. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, homemaker, gardener, cook, and dear friend to all that knew her.

Surviving are a sister, Sally Bajerski, children Dennis J. DeBlaay and Janis M. DeBlaay, grandchildren Teresa Principi and Steven DeBlaay, great-grandchild Jenna Principi, son-in-law Jim Principi, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one daughter Claudia Ann DeBlaay; five brothers, John, Mitchell, Victor, Henry, and Ralph; and three sisters Jean, Cecilia, and Mary.

The family would like to express a special thank you to caregivers Anita and Veronica and Hospice Care of SC for the love and compassion shown to our mother.
