Obituary for Harry D. Belonus
Simpsonville, SC – Harry D. (Butch) Belonus died peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his two daughters.
He was born on April 11, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late, Elsie Mae Backes. Harry was also preceded in death by his wife from Germany, Renate F. Belonus and brother from Ohio, Ronald Burgun.
Harry was a proud Vietnam Veteran (retired Army). His passion was being a DJ and he loved all music. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and fishing, but what brought him the most joy, was family gatherings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Frank R. Belonus, daughter-in-law Manaal Ramadhan, Christina (Tina) A. Walters son-in-law Paul Walters, Jeanette (Jeannie) Belonus; grandchildren: Justin Belonus, Kayla Belonus, Bianca Walters, Chelsea Walters, Brittney Ashley, Sky Ashley; great-grandchildren: Maia Walters, Mason Hayes, Jayden Ashley.
A full military Honors graveside service will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC 29621 on July 10, 2020 at 3PM for immediate family only, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
