Obituary for Anthony Samuel Dingus

Anthony Samuel Dingus, 65, "Tony/Punch" passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020,  from anaplastic meningioma on the right cerebellum.

Anthony was born January 2, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA to his parents the late Carl Everett Dingus and Deloris Jean Nestor Barnes. Anthony had a passion for playing the harmonica and avid lover of blues music.   He loved his pets, several dogs over the years and multiple stray cats that he would care for; especially Bobet that stayed by his side day in and out during his battle with cancer. He loved children and never having any of his own,  he enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews. He would tease and play with them and the more energy the children had the better he liked it.
He'll be remembered for being a loving Brother, Uncle and Son.

Anthony is survived by his mother Deloris, and his 10 siblings Carl Dingus Jr, Loretta Hogg, Jacqueline Sigecan, Faith (Judy) Lucas, Michael Dingus, David Dingus, Carolyn Ferguson, Karen Dingus, Randall Dingus, Jennifer Pritchett. Multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The family of Anthony would love to thank Interim Healthcare (Hospice) Connie RN, Janet SW, Alice SCC and Ginger CNA for your caring and kindness you provided Anthony and family throughout this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers make donations to any humane society of your choice. So Anthony can continue to help the pets in need.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2020 From 3:00pm to 3:45pm at Salem United Methodist Church 2700 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 2961. A service will follow at 4pm.
