Obituary for Arthur William Monsch IV
Arthur William Monsch IV passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, May 25th, 2020 at the age of 68.
He was born January 14, 1952 to Arthur William Monsch III and Carol Jean Mills in Cincinnati, OH. Art was the eldest of nine children, a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, and a loving husband and father. His quiet and dedicated work ethic was admired throughout his professional journey, but his true passion was spending time with his family. Sharing one of his wife’s home cooked meals around the dinner table paired well with the banter that inevitably ensued amongst his sons, often prompting a grin and a shake of the head from Art. Despite a reserved demeanor, he always lit up during the moments he shared with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur William Monsch III. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Diane Monsch, his four sons and their wives, Craig and Christina, Scott and Sharon, Brad and Michelle, and Eric and Emily, and his five grandchildren, Cameron, Channing, Bryson, Keegan, and Madison. He is survived by his mother Carol Mills and his eight younger siblings Carol, Gary, Debbie, Jackie, Vicki, Bill ,Pam, and Peggy.
Friends will be received at a memorial gathering between the hours of 3-5 pm, at Palmetto Mortuary 1017 Mauldin Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund in Art’s name.
