Betsy Baker (Gero)
June 6, 1945 – October 27, 2022
Betsy came into this world in Rock Hill, SC as Elizabeth Boykin Daves, daughter of Robert Daves and Elizabeth Bell. She attended high school in Richmond, VA. She married Hugh Gaston and had two children, son Robert (Natalie) in Oregon and daughter Rion in Maryland. She received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Averett University in 1994. In 1996 she married Gregory Gero. Her working career encompassed various roles in real estate, contract administration and procurement with government and private sector companies. She retired in 2007. She moved back to South Carolina in 2012. She has one Sister Deaver Armstrong in Michigan, a step son Greg Jr. (Michelle) in California, and a step grandson Dimitry in Kansas.
A memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1100 Log Shoals Road, Mauldin, SC 29662 or the Alzheimer’s Association.
