Obituary for Betty Jo Parsons (Moss)
Betty Jo Moss Parsons, 89, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6th, 2020.
Born in Elberton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Amos Moss and Nina Page Moss.
Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading in her spare time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a daughter, Anne Parsons Powers; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tracy Parsons; a sister, Barbara Dean; and three granddaughters, Maylyn Parsons, Sarah Powers, and Hannah Powers.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, Nathan Louis Parsons; and her sisters, Vivian M. Turner, Carolyn M. Elrod, Linda M. Martin, Beverly M. League, and Shelba M. Grillmeier.
The family will be receiving friends and family at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Road Greenville, South Carolina 29607 on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at Palmetto Mortuary at 1:30 pm. Join the family at Woodlawn Cemetery,1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville immediately following the Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
