Obituary for Charles Scott Miles
Charles Scott Miles, 64, of Easley, SC went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 26, 2022. He was born in Springfield, MO to the late Delores Maxine Bartlett- and Charles Mack Miles.
Charles is survived by his fiancee, Leah Henry; daughter, Erica Newman (Darin); stepson, Evan Rogers; stepdaughter, Quinn Russel; grandchildren: Colby, Morgan, Sutton, and Sydney Newman, Callen Rogers, and Kaitlen Childers; and sisters, Becky Miles and Cindy Braile.
Charles proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and played trumpet in the Marine Corps Band. An eclectic soul, he enjoyed collecting fine art, sipping red wine, bass fishing, working in the yard, birdwatching, and gourmet cooking. His love for world travel had roots from his time serving in the military and continued throughout his life. He had a sarcastic wit and will be remembered for hosting fantastic dinner parties and wearing custom-made clothes, complete with cuff links. Charles loved all animals and took in many a stray. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
