Obituary for Charles Leonard Westmoreland
Charles L. Westmoreland, 80, widower of Mary Westmoreland, of Williamston went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2022. Born in Tennessee he was the son of the late Osley Leonard Westmoreland and Ensa Sanders Westmoreland.
Charles liked working with his hands. He was a carpenter like his Savior. He will be remembered for driving the church bus and making beautiful furniture and decks out of wood. He also loved to spend his time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Randy Westmoreland (Nicole); daughter, Renee Cornelius (Frank); siblings, William Westmoreland, Gene Westmoreland and Henry Westmoreland; grandchildren, Jeanne Powell, Jennifer Rosenberg (Roy), Crystal Sheffield (Tony), William Nicholas, Michelle Powell (Bradley); 15 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Baggett and Sue Hawkins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
