Taylors, South Carolina – Clifford Melvin Steele, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard George Steele and Clarice Lilah Andrews Steele. Clif is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cynthia; daughters, Tina (Todd) Almquist and Kelly Steele; grandchildren, Derek Almquist, Ryan Almquist, and McKenna Almquist; brothers, Duane and James as well as several nieces and nephews. Born on May 6, 1943 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, he married Cynthia Larson in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1964. They made their home in Kennewick, Washington for 42 years before moving to Taylors, South Carolina to be near family. An avid outdoorsman, Clif loved fishing, hunting, camping, and football (Go Seahawks!). He received recognition for one million miles traveled during his time as a commercial truck driver. He is remembered as a great husband, father, and the best Papa.
