Obituary for Daniel Earnest Reid
Daniel Earnest Reid, 59, of Cleveland, SC, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was born in Laurel, MD to the late Ford Reid, Jr. and Faye Pearl Reid.
An avid Louis L'Amour reader, Daniel enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, traveling - especially to the mountains and being in nature, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his big heart, his kindness, his sense of humor, and his gentle nature. Daniel was a good and loving father, Papi, and brother.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Adele Reid; and brother, Wade Reid. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Sue Reid; son, Daniel Thomas Reid (Andrea); sister, Faye Reid; brothers, Michael (Linda), Mitchell, Earl (Karen), and Robby Reid; grandchildren, Jazmine and Ivy; and sister-in-law, Vicki Reid.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Saluda Hill Baptist Church, 640 Ridge Springs Rd., Cleveland, SC 29635. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
