Jean worked at the South Amboy (NJ) General Hospital Women’s Auxiliary as a volunteer and as a secretary at Industrial Silver in Sayreville, NJ. Jean was a kind, generous person. She loved to read, watch birds, travel, play scrabble, and socialize. She met her husband Harry at a USO dance in Miami, where they fell in love. After Harry’s stint in the Navy was over, they married in North Carolina. Jean was always attached to the South with many fond memories of her time in Alabama and North Carolina with her Aunts as a young girl. She lived most of her life in New Jersey, where she raised three children and developed close friendships that she carried with her for most of her adult life.
