Obituary for David "Buck" Buchanan
David "Buck" Buchanan, 79, of Greer, South Carolina went to be with his Lord and savior Saturday, October 3, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in North Carolina to the late Ernie Jefferson Buchanan and Fannie Taylor Buchanan.
Buck is survived by his three children: David "Scott" Buchanan, James "Jamie" (Jill) Buchanan, Teresa (Keith) Vaughn; six grandchildren: Stella, Brandin, Halie, Austyn, Ashley, Kasey; three great-grandchildren: Cameron, Jaxson, Elliana; and his two fur babies, Maddie and Pepper.
In addition to his parents, Buck is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy L Buchanan.
Buck served in the Navy, was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, loved old cars, loved and was always willing to help others. He loved his family. friends, church and his two dogs.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Greer, SC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Baptist Church. A service will be held at 2:00 pm, with a burial to follow at the church cemetery.
