Obituary for Delores A Dawkins

Mrs. Delores Abercrombie Dawkins was the daughter of the late Mr. Cornell Robert Abercrombie and Mrs. Dora Mae Fuller Pratt. She was born October 16, 1948 in Greenville, South Carolina. She went to rest
on Tuesday, February, 9, 2021 at her home.

Delores was educated in Greenville County Schools. She formerly worked for J P Stevens, Greenville County School District, Standard Motors, Capital Health Caregivers and was a Mary Kay Representative. She was a very devoted and faithful member of First Christian Fellowship Church in Greenville, SC. She worked assisting many of the church committees. She became known as the “Cake Lady”, she was
truly a missionary. She loved her family and church, she was always giving someone a nickname.

Preceding her in death was her loving husband Louree Dawkins of 30 years, one daughter, Carolyn Dawkins and one son, William “Jimmy” Dawkins.

She is survived by her daughters, Malendia Dawkins Goodman and Loretta Dawkins of Greenville, South Carolina; her sister Leona Knuckles of Greenville, South Carolina; two brothers, Andrew W.
Abercrombie and Johnny R. Abercrombie of Greenville, South Carolina; grandsons, Ezachias Dawkins and Zavvan Dawkins of Greenville, South Carolina and Aaron Dawkins of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter Calandra Dawkins of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 after 3pm at Palmetto Mortuary.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 17. 2021 at 2pm at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, in Piedmont, SC.
