Obituary for Diane Louise Pakkala
Diane Pakkala, 70, of Pelzer, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She was the daughter of the late George and Rita Bunyea.
Diane is survived by her husband, Bruce Pakkala; siblings, Darlene, Janet, Janine, George, Mark and Mike; grandchildren, April, Chloe, and Briar; great grandchildren, Zane, Olivia, Phoebe, and Conner; too many nieces and nephews to name but who were all so loved and her dear friends, Renee Honea, Jan Keswick and Cathleen and Mike Maggard.
In addition to her parents Diane was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Rachael Burgard O'Donnell and brothers, Eddie and Paul Dzaiko.
She enjoyed knitting blankets for each new baby and beautiful scarfs for her sisters and friends. Diane was the kindest, most loyal person and loved all of her large circle of family and friends-most of all her great-grandchildren who she dedicated her life to. While we will miss her being with us beyond measure, we know she is now in the loving arms of her daughter, her parents, her brothers and Jesus. Fly away dear wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Your eternal "hippie spirit" will live in our hearts forever.
Due to Covid19 a memorial celebration will be held later this summer.
