Obituary for Donna Marlene Smith
Donna "Marlene" Smith, 78, of Gray Court, SC, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was born in Punxsutawney, PA, the oldest child of the late Helen and Howard Himes.
Marlene graduated from Kent State University before enjoying a successful career in industrial safety. An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling, woodworking, live music, and attending outdoor festivals.
Preceded in death by her sister, Karen Lever, she is survived by her daughter, Kim McDonald; son, Gary Ishman (Shari); grandchildren: Marina McDonald, Ben Ishman (Jen), Nick Ishman (Carrie), and Tonya Moore (Matt); numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Blaine Himes; and many extended family members and great friends.
Marlene was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the hospice care facility of one's choice.
