Obituary for Elizabeth Beck Shelton
Elizabeth Beck Shelton, 87, resident of Greenville, SC, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 21, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Dale and Elnora Beck of Waterloo, IA.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons: Joseph Roland, Stanley Andrew, and Anthony Steven; and grandchildren: Coty Bratt, Kaleb Shelton, Lukas Shelton, Micah Shelton, James Shelton, Kirsten Shelton, Cara Shelton, Steven Shelton, Heidi Shelton, and Anna Shelton. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Roland L. Shelton; and siblings: Myron Beck, Norman Beck, and Barbara Beck.
Elizabeth enjoyed singing gospel songs for church with her husband, entertaining house guests, playing board games, and collecting various nick-nacks. She will be greatly missed, but will be remembered most for her home cooked meals, supporting her sons basketball team, faithful service at church, her warm smile, and her cheerful laugh. Elizabeth had a kind spirit, was always smiling, loved her family and her Lord Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022 at Morningside Baptist Church, 1115 Pelham Rd, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 1:00 PM. Committal and burial will follow the services at Graceland Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gospel Fellowship Association Missions.
