Obituary for Elsie Lacaulian Durham
Elsie Lacaulian Durham of Greer, SC passed on Friday, October 23, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Elsie Gladys Sherman Williams and the late George C. Gaffney, born on Friday, May 7, 1954.
Elsie was a life-long resident of Greer, SC, where she graduated from Greer High School in 1972, and shortly thereafter married Danny Ray Glenn. She was employed at Honeywell Aerospace. She faithfully attended her childhood church, Calvary Baptist Missionary Church, where she served as the pastor’s assistant, youth Sunday School teacher and an associate minister.
She leaves to join her in heaven one day, her husband of 39 years, Curtis Lee Durham of Greer, SC; daughter, Shuranda Rayshell Glenn of Atlanta, GA; son, Danny Ray Glenn, Jr. (LaTonya) of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Calvin S. Williams of Simpsonville, SC, Lee Alvin Williams of Greenville, SC, and Dennis O. Williams of Greer, SC; sisters, Marion A. Sankey of Opelika, AL, Georgiana Gaffney-Moran of New Haven, CT, and Margarethia G. Bledsoe of Smyrna, GA. Grandchildren, Shikael Dequan Villaflor, Shamond Raymar Villaflor, Cameron Shamar Karangu, Ivy Shamere Karangu, Nakia Shenece Murray, Ataxia Topeka Glenn, Tyshawn Lanier Richardson, Deja Rai Glenn, Chandris Raychele Glenn, and Danica Michele Glenn, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her like a sister.
A private Celebration of Life was held on Friday, November 6, 2020.
