Obituary for Emery Steve Ramey
Emery "Steve" Ramey, 72 of Fountain Inn went to be with Lord Wednesday, April 20, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born in Greenville, SC to the late Emery Ramey and the late Lucille Alexander Ramey. He's survived by his loving wife of forty seven years, Sally Arlene Trostle Ramey; son, Steven A Ramey (Tony); daughter, Heather Marie Pridmore; siblings: Allen Ramey, Leroy Ramey, and Rita Faye Riopella; grandchildren, Jacob Sherbert, and Cheryl J Sherbert (CJ) and James Sherbert; special friends: Dennis & Pat North, Bonnie Kaliski, Randy & Jan Chaney, and Norm & Polly Joyce Carter; and many nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents Steve was preceded in death by his siblings: Jane Simmons, Francis Jones, Jimmy Ramey, Gary Ramey, Johnny Ramey, and Harold Lee Ramey; and special friend, Larry Kaliski.
Steve retired from the Air Force after serving twenty one years. He was a history buff, loved movies of many genres, loved gardening, scouting, and discussing politics. Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor, sarcasm, quick wit, generous nature, and having a heart of gold, He loved his family and his wife dearly. He loved watching movies and cooking with his family. He loved traveling and going on adventures.
Heather insists she was his favorite child, but Tony reminds everyone that can't be since he was the first born.
A visitation will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 South Weston Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. Military honors (Air Force) will be at 2:00 PM and the service will follow.
A reception will be held after the service.
