Obituary for Eric Paul Thiess
Dr. Eric Paul Thiess died October 12, 2020 of complications from Leukemia.
Dr. Thiess was born on December 11, 1944 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Allegheny College in 1966 and then joined the US Peace Corps from 1966-69. He earned a Master's Degree from Clemson University in 1971 and then a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1977.
He is predeceased by his wife, Maria Harrison Thiess; mother, Wiltha Hogue Chase; and
father, Paul J Thiess
Dr. Thiess is survived by his son, Jason E Thiess and his wife Reagan Thiess and a grandson Harrison P Thiess, all of Greenville, SC; sister, Mary Lynn Beatty (James) of Greenville, PA; nephew, Josh Beatty of Carnegie, PA; nieces, Carrie Feldmiller (Richard) of Sharon, PA, and Laura Bullock (Neil) of Cambridge Springs, PA.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Municipal Cemetery in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
