Mr. Gary Lee Sullivan, son of the late Mr. Warren Douglas Sullivan and Mrs. Marion M. Sanders, was born March 5, 1957 in Laurens County, South Carolina.
As an infant, he was reared in the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. Broadus and Mrs. Marlee F. Sullivan Geter, whom he called Mom and Dad.
He attended the public schools in Laurens County, SC before becoming employed with Woodside Mills in Simpsonville, SC. He worked there for many years and took various landscaping jobs as they presented.
Gary was a fun-loving family member and friend to all who knew him. He loved classic cars and enjoyed watching Westerns. Gary had a great sense of humor and his smile was contagious.
In addition to his biological parents, he was preceded in death by his adoptive parents; brothers: Mr. James Willie Sullivan, Mr. Willie Clinton Sullivan, and Mr. Dean Bryson; and sisters, Mrs. Millie Sullivan Choice and Mrs. Frannie Azilee Choice.
He leaves behind fond memories with a son, Mr. Cameron McKinney of Greenville, SC; sisters: Mrs. Mercena Mackie of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Carrie Pickens of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Frances Davis (Terry) of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Marian Juanita Anderson (James) of Simpsonville, SC, Ms. Delores Sullivan of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Pamela Clay of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Tamartha S. Brewster of Greenville, SC, and Ms. Tracey Bryson of Greenville, SC; brothers: Mr. James Earl McDaniel of Gray Court, SC, Mr. Gary Bryson of Fountain Inn, SC, and Mr. Michael Garrison of Greenville, SC; stepbrother, Mr. Ernest Geter of Fountain Inn, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
