Obituary for Gary Raymond Tyas
Dr. Gary R. Tyas, DC 52, of Greenville, SC passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 of complications from Diabetes. He was the son of the late Mary Louise Sowell and Herbert Raymond Tyas.
Dr. Tyas was born on February 7, 1968 in Neptune, NJ. He graduated from Manalapan High School in 1986, then continued his education at Brookdale Community College. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina.
He is survived by his wife Anna W. Tyas; two brothers, Richard Tyas (Elaine), Dan Beatty; nieces, Shayna, Savannah, Bonnie, Aurora; nephews, Raymond and Richie.
Dr. Tyas was passionate about his work and was loved by his patients. He will be remembered for his big heart and love for animals, but mostly he will be remembered for his ability to make everyone around him laugh with his "corny" jokes.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greenville County Animal Care at 328 Furman Hall Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
