Obituary for Gene Keener Gardo
Gene K. Gardo, 92, of Greenville, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 7th, 2020. He was the son of the late Edward and Eugenia Gardo.
He is survived by his wife June Gardo; sons, Russell (Melinda), Mark (Hallie), Tony (Gina); daughter, LuAnn Holcombe (Byron); grandchildren, Isabelle Gardo, Danielle Gardo, and Michael Gardo.
He was preceded in death by grandchild Caitlin Smart.
Gene was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, June of 68 years. He was a member of Tremont Church of God on New Easley Highway. He was a supervisor for Miliken for 48 years. Gene was an avid coin, stamp, and postcard collector and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and watch his Clemson Tigers play football. He enjoyed keeping the family tree up to date and organized decades of family photo albums. Gene will be remembered for being easy going, his positive demeanor, always smiling, and his kindness.
A memorial service date has yet to be determined.
