George Lee Bennefield, age 76, of Greenville County, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 30 th,
2022. He was the husband of Nancy Leona Bennefield, of Fountain Inn, SC. They shared 57 years of
marriage.
George is survived by his wife Nancy Bennefield, and his children, Jason Bennefield(Rene) of Fountain
Inn, SC and Shane Bennefield(Michele) of Simpsonville, SC and Tammy Templeton(Scott) of Simpsonville,
SC, and Tim Cook(Amber) of Pennsylvania. George also has 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren,
and 1 great great grandchild.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Alexander Bennefield and Gladys Bennefield, and
one great granddaughter, Addison Lee Jinnette.
George retired from Cryovac after working there over 25 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved the
beach. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his love for his family. He was loved and
will be dearly missed. Fly High Dad.
