Obituary for Geraldine B. Fousek
Geraldine B. Fousek, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully Monday, January 23, 2023. She was born in Anderson, SC to the late William and Eva Bleckley.
Gerri or Mamaw, as she was called by many, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a quick temper, a wonderful sense of humor, and an abundance of love, which she never hesitated to share. One could always count on her to be by one's side during tough times even if it meant facing an army on her own. She loved her family, she loved her friends, but she loved Charlie more than anything. She was loved, she will be missed, but she will never for forgotten. Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply mean's I'll miss you until we meet again.
Gerri is survived by daughters, Jacquie Vazquez (Porfirio) and Susan McClain; son, Paul Fousek (Kim); six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lenora Crawford (Ronney) and Louise Anderson (Doyle). In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fousek; daughter, Enola Gay Fleming; grandchildren, Bill Duff and Kristie Fousek; and great-grandchildren, Jaylin Bergevoet and Jordan Strickland.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC 29607. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org; or Hospice of the Upstate, www.hospiceoftheupstate.com.
