Obituary for Geraldine Ann Mahoney
Geraldine Ann Mahoney (nee McDermott) of Greenville, SC entered into the arms of her heavenly Father on September 22, 2022 at the age of 86. She was a member of Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Ken) Wood of Simpsonville, SC and Barbara Foster of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren: Kathryn Mahoney of Portland, OR, Kenny (Jenny) Wood of Greer, Kevin (Katrin) Wood of West Columbia, Kelsey (Jordan) Mitchell of Anderson. Jack Foster of Greer, and Kristen Wood of Irving, TX; six beloved great-grandchildren: Caroline, Ava, Evelyn, Haven, Olivia and Addie; brother, Thomas (Cathy) McDermott of Midlothian, VA; and sister, Maeve (Hugh) Dever of Jacksonville, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, John Mahoney (Jack); her parents, Thomas and Margaret McDermott; brother, William McDermott; and granddaughter, Christine Foster.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, October, 21, 2022 at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2252 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681. Private burial will be at Calverton National Cemetery in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
