Obituary for Glen Ray Matheney
Glenn Ray Matheney Sr., 77, of Spartanburg, SC, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 15, 2020. He was born in Ellenboro, NC to his parents, the late Fred and Mary Matheney of Ellenboro, NC.
Glenn is survived by his wife Nancy ; Son Glenn “Ray” Matheney Jr.(Tina); Two Daughters, Kimberly Ann Turner(Joe) and Ashley Nicole Monroe(Shane); Grandchildren, Brittany White(Corey), Becca Staggs(Corey), Jessica Coyle(Adam), Brandon Matheney, Caiden Monroe, Jacob Monroe; Great-Grandchild, Cooper White; Brother, Gene Matheney(Edith); Nephew, Danny Lovelace; and His Dearest Companion for many years, Woody(His Boston Terrier). He was predeceased by his Parents, and his Little Sister, Helen Lovelace.
Glenn enjoyed Cars, watching NASCAR and Wrestling. Glenn was a very giving man and would give to anyone that was in need. He will be remembered for loving life and being the man that would give to anyone even if it was his last dime!
A small private family service will be held on Saturday July 18th, 2020 at the home of his Grand-Daughter in Chesnee.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society.
