Obituary for Diane M. Dean
Gloria Diane Medlin Dean, 80, of Greenville, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Diane was born in Monroe, NC on July 25, 1941 to the late John Frederick and Loyce Medlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Faynell Williams and brother, Phil Whitaker.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Katherine Morgan; husband Randy and their family.
Diane loved helping people and enjoyed both her careers as an English teacher and as a realtor in Atlanta, Georgia. For nine years, she found great satisfaction in helping her students learn to enjoy reading so they could pursue their dreams and improve their family legacies. For 35 years in Atlanta, she helped hundreds of families find their perfect homes as a realtor. She often said that the best part of being a realtor was the life long friendships she made with each family with whom she worked.
Diane was a devoted loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In the last several years she thoroughly enjoyed the pleasure of spending special time weekend mornings with her great-grandson Gavin Moore. She loved building with blocks and reading with him before everyone else woke up.
