Obituary for Grady Leon Stratton Jr.
Grady Leon Stratton, Jr., 69, widower of Carllene Stratton, of Greenville passed away on June 24, 2022. Born in Greenville he was the son of the late Grady Leon Stratton, Sr. and Sara Stratton.
Grady enjoyed watching the University of Georgia Football, working on cars, shooting and agriculture. He will be remembered for his stubbornness, persistence and caring nature as well as his compassion and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his son, Alec Stratton; daughter, Kristen Rogers (Patrick); step-grandchildren, Isabella and Bryce Rogers; father in law Norman Williamson; sister in law Alicia Stratton; Wade Fletcher and Mallory Stratton; and many other family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Grady was preceded in death by his son, Lee Stratton and sibling Terry Stratton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Palmetto Mortuary 1017 Mauldin Road Greenville, SC 29607. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens 7784 Augusta Road Piedmont, SC 29673.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
