Obituary for Harvey Ray Lowe
Harvey Ray "HR" Lowe, 74, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 18, 2020. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardis B. and Harvey J. Lowe; and his wife of 51 years, Alice L. (Dunn) Lowe.
HR is survived by his wife, Nancy (Gergin) Lowe; daughter, Teresa Wilcox and her husband Scott; son, Jason Lowe and his wife Gina; four grandchildren: Parker and Nicky Wilcox, and Alyssa and Addison Lowe; stepchildren: Amy, Eric, Michael, and Phillip Gergin; and step grandchildren: Jaden Kashaul, and Shane and Luke Gregin.
He was a Vietnam Veteran with 31 years of service in the US Army and Reserves, and a respected Boy Scout Leader for Troop 120 in Beardstown, Illinois for many years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of HR may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Anyone who knew HR knew that he had a heart of gold. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
