Obituary for Hayes Kenneth Stancell Jr.
Hayes 'Ken' Stancell, 72, of Easley, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21st, 2021. He was the son of Hayes Stancell and Dora Mitchell.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Shannon Ratliff (Mike), April Larsen (Melissa), and Lisa Greene; his grandchildren, Hayes Lindsey, Angel Ratliff, and Krista, Meghan, Josh, Justin, and Austin Greene; his siblings, Diane Edens (Wayne), Susie Powell (Reggie), and Nuke Stancell (Wanda); and all 10 great grandchildren. He also was an amazing surrogate father to Barbara Pressley.
The first thing that coms to everyone's mind when they think of Ken is his absolute love for golf. He enjoyed every moment on the course with his buddies. During his younger and wilder days, he loved to go dancing.
He provided for his family by driving a truck his entire career. He loved his family deeply. Those that knew and loved him, will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Hayes Stancell, Sr.; his granddaughter, Crystal Galloway; and his sisters, Ruth and Debra Stancell.
The family will be receiving friends and family at Palmetto Mortuary 1017 Mauldin Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29607 on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will follow at Palmetto Mortuary at 11:30 am. Join the family at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont immediately following the funeral service.
