Obituary for Iva Ruth Norman
Iva "Ruth" Norman, 89, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born to the late James and Alma McCarter and grew up in Knoxville, TN.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, John R. Norman, Jr.; daughter, Janet Ruth Carey. sister, Toni Fritts; brothers, Fred and Joe McCarter; brother-in-law, Charles Maupin; and sister-in-law, Sherry McCarter. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Lloyd (Steven) of Boiling Springs, SC; son, John R. Norman III (Sandra) of Front Royal, VA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Maupin and Faye Sundahl (Jerry); brothers, Frank McCarter (Wanda) and Glenn McCarter; and brother-in-law, James Fritts.
The family wishes to extend special gratitude to the staff of Valley Falls Terrace Nursing Home for their exceptional care over the past three years.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Virginia Beach, VA.
