Obituary for Jack William Lemons

Jack William Lemons of Taylors, SC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Horace and Louise Lemons. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, of 64 years. He is survived by his sons, Alan (Barbara) of San Pedro, California, Joe (Amy) and grandchildren Perrin, Weston and Bradley of Travelers Rest.

Jack was a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force. He served for seven years as a navigator during the Korean War. He was a financial advisor and insurance agent with Equitable Life for over 62 years. His dedication to his career continued long past retirement years up until health prevented him from going to the office.

Jack loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved watching football and golf. He enjoyed traveling to Augusta, to attend The Masters. Many family and friends enjoyed this special event with him for over 30 years. In his younger years, Jack volunteered for Northwood Little League. He was also a member of the Greenville Rotary Club and was a faithful member of Lee Road United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 17, visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 with the service to follow.
